No fetish clothes? No problem!

Shay will teach patterns that can be layered to kink up a favorite outfit, incorporated into your weekend looks, worn as the full extent of your attire, or secretly worn under your everyday clothing! Shh!

Decorative body harnesses make a fab starting point for rope, or a great addition to your toolkit: beginner-friendly, versatile, and elegant enough for wear beyond the classroom.

Class ties can be practiced on yourself or with a partner.

Along the way, we'll cover rope-handling basics, foundational skills such as the lark's head and half-hitch, and Shay's signature Safety Speed Round! (so she can sleep at night).

No prior rope experience is necessary.

Participants are welcome to bring any rope they already own. Bamboo rope is especially well suited here: soft, colorful, and comfortable against the skin. Bamboo rope and other supplies will be available for purchase onsite for those interested.

The Kink Store will also have rope to loan out for the class and jam.

Attending solo but hoping to try partner tying? Folks seeking practice partners are encouraged to arrive 20-30 minutes before class begins. Participants are responsible for making introductions and negotiating their own connections and boundaries.

Doors open at 7:30 pm, with class beginning promptly at 8:00 pm. Please allow yourself enough time to arrive slowly and settle in.

The evening continues with a rope jam and social hangout following class.

Tickets are available for both the class + jam experience at a discounted rate.

Tickets are also available for the jam alone.
Attendees joining only for the rope jam may arrive starting at 9:15 pm. Please note that rope jams are traditionally not instruction-based.

Bio:

Shay Tiziano (she/her or they/them) is a renowned bondage performer, presenter, and self-suspender known for their friendly, attainable, and risk-awareness-focused approach to kink education and innovative, intense performances. She is the author of three books, including Tying & Flying, the first-ever book about self-suspension. Based in San Francisco, Shay is the stages & entertainment lead for the Folsom Street Fair and produces the bondage and fetish performance event Twisted Windows. She takes a warm, nerdy approach, with classes that are both entertaining (they've been called “better than a Vegas show”) and packed with useful information and applicable skills.
